Donation Refund / Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains under what circumstances donations made to Stichting Global Buds Foundation (“SGBF”, “we”, “our”) may be refunded, cancelled or adjusted. We retain the discretion to approve or deny any refund request.

2. Non-Refundable Nature

By making a donation, you acknowledge that the funds are transferred irrevocably to SGBF and will be used for charitable programmes (see our Program pages). As such, donations are generally non-refundable once processed.

3. Exceptional Circumstances

  • A refund may only be considered if:

    • The donation was processed in error (e.g., duplicate transaction, incorrect amount entered)

    • The transaction could not be completed and was erroneously captured

    • There is a statutory reason requiring refund under Dutch law

    Requests must be submitted within 7 (seven) working days of the donation date. To request a refund, contact: [info@sgbf.nl] with subject line “Refund Request”, including your donation reference number, date, amount and reason.

4. Processing Refunds

  • Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method.

  • SGBF is not liable for any banking or foreign exchange fees incurred.

  • If funds have already been committed to programme delivery, SGBF may (at its discretion) carry your donation forward to another project rather than provide a cash refund.
